What happens if I need to cancel or have missed my flight due to a serious illness? We recommend that you obtain travel insurance before you book in case any unexpected illness means you need to change your plans. You can find out more on our Medical Information page. If you have a medical condition or illness or if you’re pregnant, you may need to provide a Fitness to Fly Certificate before you can travel. Most medical conditions won’t prevent you from boarding a plane so, for peace of mind, it’s important to be clear about the health concerns you can still fly with and the ones you can’t. We consider a serious illness a medical condition that is life-limiting and affects a person’s normal day-to-day activities, making it impossible for them to fly. If this does happen, we will do everything we can to help you. We fully understand that a serious illness could mean that you to need to cancel your flight or that you've missed your flight.

Alternatively, call our dedicated Customer Service team to check availability and quote your easyJet Plus number to change your flight for free. For FLEXI bookings, simply make changes online or on our mobile app (if within +/- 1 day of your original travel date) or contact your original booking agent.

If you’re an easyJet Plus customer or have booked a FLEXI fare, transfer onto an earlier flight departing on the same day as your original return flight for free. You can start checking availability on the app at any time on the day of your return flight. This can be done on our mobile App or by our Ground Crew in the Bag Drop area at the airport. If there’s room you can transfer onto an earlier flight leaving on the same day for a small change fee. We understand that sometimes plans change and you might want to get an earlier flight home. If you only want to change the flight for one or some of the passengers, please call us, as this can’t be done online. The flight changes you make will apply to every passenger on the booking.

To make changes using Manage Bookings, you’ll need the email address and password used to make the original booking.After any changes, remember to check in again, and reprint your boarding pass. To change your booking, go to Manage Bookings find your flights and choose the ‘Change flight’ option. For more information see our Fees and Charges page. Our team will make you aware of this up front when you call us.
